Meghan + Amir | Mission Carmel Basilica | Carmel Valley Ranch

Amir and I met through mutual friends while attending Foothill College.  We became close friends and made it official 6 months later.  After 7 years of dating, Amir's parents took us to Italy on a family vacation.  I was expecting a proposal, but after 4 days in Rome, a day trip to Capri and several perfect opportunities there was no proposal.  I had almost given up on the idea of getting engaged on the trip until it finally happened.  One night after dinner we walked to the Piazza di Spagna where we were sitting on the steps when Amir pulled the ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him.  It made the rest of the trip much most relaxing- for both of us!
